Independent radio from Amman, broadcasting one night a week from a cafe that is also an art space. Everything that airs is recorded and kept.
The station runs Saturdays, from late afternoon until close — four to eight sets back to back, played by residents, invited guests, and artists passing through the city. The room is open while it happens.
Every set that goes out is uploaded, so the archive is the station’s actual memory rather than a highlights reel. There are forty-eight nights in it so far.
Applications open here soon. Until then the station books through the room and through people it already plays.
The station is run by a small number of people. Engineering, recording, hosting on a Saturday, and keeping the archive tidy are all real jobs here.
